Maria Luz Manlapaz has been practicing law since 1989. Her diversified law practice covers several aspects of litigation: civil, criminal, business, special proceedings, special civil actions, family disputes, annulment of marriages, separation of property, labor, tax, immigration and special laws. After passing the Philippine Bar, she first worked as law clerk for Justice Florentino P. Feliciano, at the Supreme Court of the Philippines, where she helped write landmark decisions for the Court.

Practice Focus


Internationally, she represented one of the qualified heir claimants in the settlement of the estate of Larry Lee Hillblom, the case famed for being mother of all DNA cases, wherein she actively involved with varied aspects of litigation from discovery to settlement proceedings in Saipan, Guam and San Francisco, to arbitration in Hawaii, until a global settlement was reached after almost 7 years. Locally, she has an extensive practice in litigation, including negotiation and settlement of estates and marital property relations.
